Sunrise Avenue may sound like California, summer and tanned people lying on the beach, but the impression is deceptive, because the musicians come from the rather tranquil Finland. But their songs sound all the more sunny. In their home country the band with their cheerful sound could not achieve any success at first, because although they spent countless hours in the rehearsal room and on stages in Finland, the audience could not get much out of the band.

But the guys didn't give up, they saw it as an incentive to practice even more and become better. After sending out over 100 demos to all labels in the country, they finally got their first record deal, which enabled the band to record an album. "On my way to wonderland" was the title of their debut, which was to lay the foundation for the band's later world success. Instead of Finnish melancholy, catchy melodies and hit rock anthems await the listener. Songs such as "Hollywood Hills" and "Fairytale Gone Bad" are timeless hits that even years after their release are still played gladly and often by radio stations all over the world. 

Sunrise Avenue - from the stage to the "hot seat

In Germany, the band has been known at least since frontman Samu Haber was on the jury of the casting show "The Voice of Germany". As a result, the hype about Sunrise Avenue increased significantly. As a result, from 2014 on, things became a bit quieter around the band, because they needed a break to "not burn out completely".
The break did the Finns good, because in 2017 they came back with a new album and since then they are back on the road again.
